Our Transition Year classes marked their last day on May 23rd with their Graduation ceremony. Rome Tour, A Million Dreams, Junk Kouture, Gaisce and several successful Mini-Companies, you’ve had a busy year! We hope the skills you have learned and experiences of the past year will stay with you for many years to come.
In 2019-20, our Second and Transition Year students will participate in a new school initiative, the Accelerated Reader Programme. This is a specifically designed computer programme which will monitor, support and guide students in their reading. A huge thank you to the Parents Council who have worked on raising the funds for this initiative through the Silver Circle.
On Wednesday 22nd May, our Amber Flag group were presented with our first Amber Flag by Eoin from Pieta House in recognition of our efforts to create a healthy, inclusive school that supports mental wellbeing. The group presented Pieta House with a cheque for €500 from our cake sale and raffle.
On Wednesday May 22nd our 2nd years, Head Girls and Year Head Ms Nolan presented a cheque to Ms Rose Mulligan of Navan Meals on Wheels for €420, the proceeds of recent fundraising by 2nd years. Well done to all involved!
A wonderful day of celebration took place in the Solstice Theatre on Monday 20th May as our school community celebrated our annual Prizegiving ceremony. Video of both the Junior and Senior ceremonies can be viewed on our YouTube channel and Twitter.
