Our 6th Year Geography students travelled to Derrygonnelly Co. Fermanagh recently with their teachers to conduct their Geographical Investigation as part of the Leaving Certificate exam.
Students studied the features of erosion in Lough Naman River. After discussing the aims and objectives of the study in the field study centre, students divided up into small groups to study the river at different locations.
Studies included width, depth, velocity, and sediment size and shape in the upper, middle and lower course of the river.
Many thanks to the students who worked diligently and to teachers Ms Duane and Ms Smith who accompanied students on the day.
