A tight opening half saw Ellen O’Reilly make many saves to keep Mercy level. Despite plenty of chances, Mercy couldn’t convert, with several missed shots from both sides. Draw game at half time.
Mercy came out flying from the break with Genevieve Dorrigan and Emily O’Brien making an immediate impact, a minute into the half Caitlin O’Donohoe rattled the net from a Cleary corner.
Caitlin struck again on 20 minutes after a brilliant Emma Smyth attack, before completing her hat-trick on 33 minutes to seal the win.
