Core Subjects

Each student studies 6 core subjects for their Junior Cycle examinations.

Modern Foreign Languages

Each incoming first year student will choose one MFL to study before starting in Mercy. They can choose from the following:

Option Subjects

Students get to try out each of our option subjects for the first 8 weeks of first year. After this, they will choose 2 option subject to study for their Junior Cycle exams.

Wellbeing

Students will also take subjects which are designed to promote and enhance their wellbeing both in school and in their daily lives. These subjects are not examined as part of the Junior Cycle exam.
