Day one of our Third Years’ very European exciting trip to Heidelburg and Strasbourg was jam-packed.
After making our way from St Joseph’s early Sunday morning to Frankfurt and onto Heidelburg, students enjoyed a guided tour of the fabulous Heidelberg castle. We explored the inner courtyards and grand halls of this magnificent castle and learned all about how the castle survived multiple wars across German history.
Next, we ventured into the town of Heidelberg itself, and made our way around its fabulous Christmas Market and stalls in the town centre. The cold winter weather did not dampen the mood of either students or staff members on day one of this memorable trip.
Sincere thanks to Ms O’Toole, Ms Hogan, Ms Nolan, Ms Casserly, Ms Farrell, Ms Hardiman and Mr McManus for accompanying Third Year students on this trip.
Tomorrow, we will travel to Strasbourg, visiting La Petite France, Strasbourg Cathedral, the European Parliament, and lots, lots, more…!
