Dear Parent/Guardian,
Fáilte ar ais! Welcome back!
We wanted to let you know that we are really looking forward to re-opening our school after such a long break without our students. A lot of work is going on currently behind the scenes to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all in our school community. We are really excited to meet our new First Years and of course to catch up again with all students in each year group.
There will be a number of changes next year in terms of the day to day running of the school and we will send you out details of all such changes in due course. The School Calendar will be available this week on our website and the return to school schedule for all year groups will be sent to you via the School App. First Year Induction will take place on Monday and Tuesday August 31st/ Sept. 1st. Details will follow. All other year group induction programmes will follow.
Mentors will shortly receive communication from Mr Howard.
2019-2020 (last year) First, Second and Fifth Year student will receive a text with details for emptying lockers over the next few days. This needs to be done in order to prepare classrooms that enable social distancing.
While there is still a lot of work to do to prepare the school building for your daughter, it is our pleasure to do so. The building is a lonely place without our Mercy Girls!
In order to properly plan for the safe return of all students could you please let us know by e-mail to office@mercynavan.ie if your daughter is in the high or very high risk category as per the documents on education.gov.ie/backtoschool
We will be in contact with you before school starts to discuss.
Beatha agus Sláinte,
Ms Meagher.
